The King loved his peanut butter and ‘nanners so much, he flew from Memphis to Denver on his private jet one night because he got a craving for Fool’s Gold Loaf.
This deep fried sandwich, made by the Colorado Mine Company, was stuffed with one jar of peanut butter, one jar of grape jelly, and a pound of bacon.
The five-star restaurant had 22 heart-stopping loaves waiting for him at the airport, along with some Perrier and champagne to wash it all down.
Talk about midnight snacking.
Dangerously Delicious Pies in the Atlas District, known for its decadent pies and pie truck, presents “The Elvis” pie ($30 whole; $6.50 a slice, pictured left)–sweet banana pudding dotted with bacon and peanut butter chips then topped with fresh whipped cream.
Oh, and fresh bananas too, making this a much healthier alternative to that 8,000-calorie sandwich. Pick one up for your next themed karaoke party.
