Ghana Cafe is known for its authentic West African fare, and the popular Ghanaian staple of kenkey ($15.95, pictured) is a fresh, house-made dumpling of fermented cornmeal, which tastes like grits and sourdough at the same time.
It’s served with a small amount of curry or stew (including the goat stew here) which is a rich, spicy afterthought.
You’ll be too busy trying to chip away at the dumpling. It’s so filling, if you were dropped in the middle of the Sahara, you could survive on it for weeks. So can your camel.
