If you love the smell of whole animals roasting among fire and smoke, this is the place for you. Expect whole suckling pig, whole baby goat, whole lamb and chickens–or order them in small tasting portions along with classic and modern Greek mezze like mousaka, spanakopita, souzoukakia as well as salads, seafood and vegetables. Sit at the 10-seat chef’s table and Isabella and his team will carve it up tableside just for your dining pleasure.
In addition to the chef’s table, there are two dining areas including a 38-seat semi-private dining room that looks onto the open kitchen. The 160-seat restaurant has a warm, earthy ambiance and is inspired by Isabella’s travels through the former Macedonian empire, “with warm earth tones accented by Byzantine detailing, whimsical floor art and custom lighting made from suspended wine glasses and bottles.”
The bar features communal tables, 150 wines by the bottle, 25 by the glass, house-made sodas and Greek cocktails served in jugs. In. Jugs.
Accompanying sandwich shop “G” will open soon in the same space, offering Italian sandwiches by day, (utilizing meats from Kapnos), and a traditional Italian, prix-fixe tasting menu by night. Valet parking is available for $15 every night 5:30 to close.
