[dropcap]C[/dropcap]ontinuing its tribute to presidents past, the team behind Lincoln opens Teddy and The Bully Bar, to honor the one and only Teddy Roosevelt. Located across from the 26th President’s house between Dupont and Farragut, the new restaurant exudes a masculine, robust persona you’d expect from Teddy himself.
Led by Executive Chef Michael Hartzer, the menu’s seasonal fare features simple, local small plates and wild game, such as bison and venison, plus some of Teddy’s favorite dishes like fried chicken soaked in white gravy. Soaked!
The restaurant features an in-dining room bakery as well as a raw bar (Teddy loves oysters) that’s perfect for summer. Plus, John Hogan of Level One fame designed the bar program just as he did at Lincoln, meaning? The cocktails will blow your gasket.
