Red Velvet If You Zzzzzzz

here are few joys in this world more lusciously fun than red velvet cake. That bright, happy shade of scarlet, the subtle chocolate flavor, and that buttery cream cheese frosting.

I was you were just waiting for an excuse to order Red Velvet Buttermilk Pancakes ($8) for breakfast.  Now that Founding Farmers is open Monday through Friday at 7 am, I you can.

This very thinly disguised dessert is the breakfast of champions because you’d have to be one to polish off an order of these fluffy, griddled cakes.  Don’t let the photo fool you.  They come three to an order and are almost 8″ in diameter.

The bright color is deceptive as well, as these flapjacks are only subtly sweet, yet very buttery, tasting more like buttermilk pancake than diet buster.  Most of the sweetness comes from the cream cheese butter, which you can monitor but may choose not to.  You won’t have a problem with that, do you?
