[dropcap]I[/dropcap]t’s about time cupcakes got an update. YOCAKE tops them with fro-yo. Yep. You read that right. A full-sized, frosted cupcake, topped with fro-yo, and more toppings if you want. I absolutely love what YOCAKE has done with the cupcake.
YOCAKE has been open since January and offers 16 standard cupcake flavors plus at least 3 additional rotating flavors. Tart and creamy frozen yogurt flavors are available sugar-free. My mind and mouth settled on the almond pear cupcake topped with the cheesecake fro-yo. This ultra-moist cupcake is full of diced pears and marzipan, frosted with almond cream cheese and topped with a pear Jelly Belly. Dousing an ultra-moist almond pear cupcake with cheesecake fro-yo was almost overkill but hey, why not?
